Restoration Practices and Studies of Habitat Restoration Based on Natural Solutions: A Case Study of Tianfu National Wetland Park

摘要: 在野生动植物栖息地破碎化、生物多样性丧失的挑战下,目前普遍缺少对自然生态条件有限、规模较小的人工恢复栖息地后期管理的相关研究。基于自然解决方案(NbS)的理念,在江苏昆山天福国家湿地公园开展栖息地修复研究与实践。提出了拦截与缓冲面源污染物的思路,修复河岸生态界面,减少面源污染物进入河道,研发了植被管理模式与外来入侵植物防治模式。研究结果可为太湖流域同类型栖息地的修复提供科学依据。Abstract: With challenges to habitat fragmentation and declining biodiversity of wildlife, there is a notable dearth of studies focusing on the post-restoration management of habitats that have been artificially restored, particularly those with constrained natural conditions and of smaller scales. Drawing upon the principles of Nature-based Solutions(NbS), this paper embarks on a comprehensive study and practical application of habitat restoration at the Kunshan Tianfu national wetland park in Jiangsu. The study introduces strategies to intercept and buffer non-point source pollutants, endeavors to rejuvenate the riverbank ecological interface, and strives to mitigate the influx of non-point source pollutants into watercourses.Furthermore, the paper elucidates vegetation management protocols and presents methods for the prevention and control of invasive plants. The study provides a scientific foundation for the restoration endeavors pertaining to analogous habitats within the Taihu Lake catchment.
